Chris W. Durkin, RHU, REBC

After entering the insurance business in 1978, Chris founded The Fringe Benefit Company in February of 1983 as the benefit division Northwestern Mutual. In 1993 The Fringe Benefit Company formally separated from Northwestern Mutual and began a period of significant growth. Chris currently serves as President and C.E.O. of FBC Services, Inc. dba The Fringe Benefit Company.
Chris received his designation as Registered Health Underwriter in 1994 and in 1995 earned his Registered Employee Benefits Consultant designation from the American College. Chris is currently working on his Certified Employee Benefit Specialist Designation.
Chris is a frequent guest speaker on topics of building an employee benefits practice. He has spoken to the Association of Legal Administrators on the topic of COBRA and healthcare reform and has also spoken to the Association of Small Businesses and numerous other business associations on the topic of the evolution of healthcare and its impact on business. He has authored a series of articles on the evolution of healthcare and the subsequent change in insurance plans. Recent topics are on the purpose and design of Consumer Driven Health Care Plans.
Chris has twice been president of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Broker advisory council and remains involved in helping vendors recognize the needs of employers both large and small. He confessed to being somewhat of an insurance geek.
Chris graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in English Literature. He loves reading, golfing, bird hunting and fly fishing. Chris and his wife, Shawn, have been married for over 29 years. They have been actively involved in the Young Life ministry for over 16 years and attend Highlands Church in Scottsdale. Both he and Shawn are very proud of their four sons, Ryan, Aaron, Garrett and Brett.

Bruce Kindall, RHU, REBC

Bruce joined The Fringe Benefit Company in January 1999 after 12 years on the staff with Young Life, and professional sales experience with Xerox Corporation and the Edge Learning Institute.
He grew up in Tucson, Arizona, and graduated Cum Laude from Northern Arizona University in 1984, where he played football for the Lumberjacks and earned his BA in Personal and Public Communications with minors in Marketing and Management. In January 2001, he achieved his designation as a Registered Health Underwriter and earned his Registered Employee Benefits Consultant designation from the American College in February 2003.
In 2008, Bruce was appointed Sr. Vice President of The Fringe Benefit Company.
Bruce lives in Phoenix with his wife, Sherri and their three children, Eric, Alec and Anna. Bruce commits significant time to several Young Life committees and enjoys golf, travel and time with his family.

Justin Arnold, Benefits Consultant

Justin joined The Fringe Benefit Company in the Fall of 2003 as a Marketing Assistant for Chris Durkin while completing his college degree. During this time period, Justin worked closely with insurance carriers and clients alike determining the best options for group insurance coverage in the fields of medical, dental, life and disability.
Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Justin has been in the Valley since 1994 and attended Horizon High School. In August 2007, Justin received his Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University in Political Science with a minor in Religious Studies.
Justin currently holds the position of Sponsorship Chairman on the Board of Directors for The Greater Phoenix Association of Health Underwriters. He also is a member of the broker advisory council for Delta Dental of Arizona.
Justin currently resides in Phoenix with his wife Coley and son Baylor, and is an active member at Scottsdale Bible Church. He enjoys spending time with his new family, hunting and golfing.
